Add us to your safe senders' list

To prevent over-zealous spam filters from sweeping messages from the Electric Drive Transportation Association (EDTA) into the spam folder, please add info@electricdrive.org to your Contacts or Safe Sender list.  You can follow the guidelines listed hereafter:

AOL Web Mail

    •    Open the e-mail containing the e-mail address(es) you want to add.
    •    Hover the mouse over the sender's name or address, and click on Add Contact.

Comcast

Sign into Webmail.
    •    On the left navigation menu, click Address Book.
    •    Click Add Contact.
    •    Under the General tab, in the box under the Email Address, enter "info@electricdrive.org".
    •    Click the Add button.

If you have enabled "Restrict Incoming Email," also do the following:
    •    Sign into Webmail.
    •    Select Preferences.
    •    Select Restrict Incoming Email. Note: If Enable Email Controls is set to Yes, then you are restricting incoming emails.
    •    Select Allow email from addresses listed below.
    •    Enter "info@electricdrive.org".
    •    Click the Add button.

Earthlink

Click the Address Book button to open your address book in the browser.
    •    Click the Add Contact button (if you use EarthLink 5.0 or higher, click the Add button).
    •    Type in "info@electricdrive.org" into the email address slot and then click OK.

Gmail

New Subscribers
You will need to add the "From address" to your Gmail Contacts List:
    •    Click Contacts along the left side of any Gmail page.
    •    Click Add Contact.
    •    Add the email address info@electricdrive.org
    •    Click Save.

Existing Subscribers
If you are already a subscriber but the email isn't getting through, make sure that the email has not been mistakenly marked as Spam:
    •    Click Spam along the left side of any Gmail page.
    •    Check mark the box next to the email.
    •    Click Not Spam button along the top.

Hotmail

New Subscribers
You will need to add our From address to your Hotmail Safe List:
    •    Open your mailbox and click "Options" (upper right hand corner).
    •    Click the "Junk E-Mail Protection" link (top of page).
    •    Select the "Safe List" link (2nd from bottom).
    •    Add the email address info@electricdrive.org into the dialog box titled "Type an address or domain".
    •    Click the "Add" button next to the dialog box.

Existing Subscribers
If you are already a subscriber but the email isn't getting through, make sure that the email is not being sent to your Junk E-Mail Folder. If the email is there, open the email and click the Not Junk button. Next, check to see if the email's "From address" is in your Blocked Senders list. If you see the "From address" on this list, select it and click the Remove button. Finally, if you have not done so, add the "From address" into your Safe List as outlined in our New Subscribers info above.

Juno/Netzero Subscribers

    •    Click Options and select Junk Mail.
    •    In the Do Not Block section, you can type an address in the box (or copy and paste it) under Add Address to Do Not Block List.
    •    Click the Add button to add the address to the list on the right.
    •    When you are finished, click the Save button.

MSN Subscribers

MSN 8
    •    Click on Email Settings.
    •    Click on the Junk Mail link.
    •    Click on Safe List.
    •    Click on Add an item to this list.
    •    Type in or cut and paste the supplied return email address into the Safe List box and then click Add.

MSN 9
    •    Click the e-mail from the sender that you want to add to your Safe List.
    •    Click "Always show from this sender" to automatically add the sender to your Safe List.

Outlook 2003/2007

    •    From your inbox select Actions then select Junk Email and click on Junk Email Options Address Book.
    •    Click the Safe Senders tab.
    •    Type in or cut and paste the supplied return email address into the block area, and then click the OK button.

Outlook 2007/2010

    •    Go to the Inbox and right-click on the sender you wish to whitelist.
    •    Choose Junk E-Mail and select Add Sender to Safe Senders List.     •    Click OK.

Windows Live Hotmail

    •    Open a message from the desired sender.
    •    Click and Mark as safe next to the From: name and address.
    •    Now click Add contact.

Yahoo

New Subscribers
You will need to set up a filter to redirect the email into your inbox:
    •    Open your mailbox and click on Mail Options (upper right hand corner).
    •    Select Filters (bottom left corner).
    •    Click the Add link on the Filters page.
    •    Update the "From header:" rule with the following 2 pieces of information: "contains" and the "From address". This essentially allows the mail server to identify the email based on the email's"From address". Add the email address info@electricdrive.org
    •    Click the Choose Folder pull down menu and select inbox.
    •    Select the Add Filter button.

Existing Subscribers
If you are already a subscriber but the email isn't getting through, check if the email is in your Yahoo Bulk Folder. If the email is there, open the email and click the Not Spam button. Next, check the "From address" on this list, select it and click the Remove Block button. Lastly, if you have not done so, please set up a filter as outlined in our New Subscribers info above.
