Advanced Energy

Advanced Energy is a Raleigh, N.C.-based nonprofit working to assist communities in understanding, planning and implementing electric transportation initiatives. With innovative approaches to energy issues, we’re creating economic, environmental and societal benefits through transportation, industrial process technologies, motors and drives testing, and applied building science.

Advanced Energy facilitates the adoption of energy efficient technologies, our primary project at this time is the Plug-In Hybrid School Bus program. We are currently working with some other purchasers and manufacturers to facilitate other large purchases.

Advanced Transportation Technology Institute

The Advanced Transportation Technology Institute (ATTI), formerly the Electric Transit Vehicle Institute (ETVI), was founded in 1992 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The original mission of the Institute was to increase the understanding of electric vehicles through research, design and education.

AeroVironment

Building on a history of technological innovation, Aerovironment designs, develops, produces and supports an advanced portfolio of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and efficient electric energy systems. Agencies of the U.S. Department of Defense and allied military services use the company's hand-launched UAS to provide situational awareness to tactical operating units through real-time, airborne reconnaissance, surveillance, and target acquisition. American Association of Blacks in Energy

The American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE) is a national association of energy professionals founded and dedicated to ensure the input of African Americans and other minorities into the discussions and developments of energy policies regulations, R&D technologies, and environmental issues.

American Public Power Association

The American Public Power Association is the service organization for the nation’s more than 2,000 community- and state-owned electric utilities that serve 43 million people in the U.S. It supports national policies that promote the use of electric transportation. A number of APPA member utilities are using electric vehicles as part of their municipal fleets.

AMP Electric Vehicles

AMP’s first all-electric models are the Chevrolet Equinox, and the Saturn Sky/Pontiac Solstice. Initial AMP customers include fleet managers and utility companies, as well as individuals. AMP’s intent is to electrify a wide range of OEM vehicles and SUVs’ and expects to announce new model additions in 2011.
