CITELEC
CITELEC is an association of European cities interested in the use of electric vehicles. It was founded in 1990 under the aegis of the European Union, and now unites over 60 cities, as well as associate members all over Europe. Together with its member cities, CITELEC is performing several actions to promote the use of electric and hybrid vehicles in urban and suburban areas.
City of New York
New York City has supported the introduction of electric drive technology into vehicles ranging in size from low speed vehicles through hybrid electric transit buses. The NY City Department of Transportation, alternate fuels program has made funds available to municipal and private fleets for the acquisition of electric, hybrid and other alternate fuel vehicles.
