Sacramento Municipal Utility District
The Sacramento Municipal Utility District is a community owned electric utility governed by a seven-member Board of Directors. Serving 592,000 customers and a total population of about 1.4 million, SMUD is the sixth-largest public utility in the country.
San Diego Gas & Electric
SDG&E is a regulated public utility that provides safe and reliable energy service to 3.4 million consumers through 1.4 million electric meters and 830,000 natural gas meters in San Diego and southern Orange counties. In August of 2006, SDG&E established the Clean Transportation Program. This program addresses the growing interest by SDG&E customers in a variety of alternative electric transportation technologies, including electric vehicles. Driven by the national priorities to reduce fuel consumption, promote the use of electricity as an alternative fuel, reduce dependence on foreign oil and also to assist in achieving the environmental priorities for the state of California relative to transportation, we want to support our customers in identifying clean transportation opportunities in the San Diego service area.

Smith Electric Vehicles
Smith Electric Vehicles U.S. Corporation is an all-electric zero-emissions commercial truck manufacturer. Smith Electric produces the Newton, which is the only medium-duty (class 4-7) all-electric commercial truck on the GSA schedule. The trucks are built in Smith Electric’s Kansas City, Mo., plant. The Newton delivers a top speed of 55 mph and offers end users battery ranges from 50 to 120 miles on a single charge. Smith vehicles offer a payload of over 16,000 pounds and are powered by the latest in Lithium-ion battery cell technology, power management and direct drive trains. They produce zero emissions and are nearly silent.
Smith Electric Vehicles is a world leader in new technology commercial electric vehicles, with enhanced performance, speed and range capabilities. Fleet operators in towns and cities now have a cost-effective, zero emission alternative to diesel trucks. Smith Electric Vehicle's customers range from mail delivery companies to major retailers, and include Starbucks and DHL.
Southern California Edison an Edison International Company
Southern California Edison (SCE) is one of the largest electric utilities in California, serving more than 14 million people in a 50,000 square-mile area of central, coastal and Southern California, excluding the City of Los Angeles and certain other cities.
Edison International is the parent company of Southern California Edison. Edison International, through its subsidiaries, is a generator and distributor of electric power and an investor in infrastructure and energy assets, including renewable energy.
Southern Company
